Yes, Alfa Medical Centre is currently bulk billing all general medical consultations and has private fees for any procedures.

Alfa Skin Clinic is a mixed billing clinic. Skin checks are currently bulk billed and procedures will incur a private fee. Your Medicare refund can be processed by reception at the time of payment.

Our doctors believe in providing holistic care to patients, looking at the whole person to support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing. 

Yes we have a Diabetic Educator Arezou Taherverdy and she will Bulk Bill with a current GPCCMP referral. She is also seeing private patients, an initial consultation will be $200 and a follow up consultation will be $130. If you have private health insurance you can check with them if you get a refund for this service.

Yes Sullivan Nicolaides is available in the medical center on level 1. they are open from 8:00am to 12MD Monday-Wednesday and Friday

 Yes, you can book into see our Authorised  Registered Nurse for a CST. You can also ask your doctor for a self-collect kit if you would prefer.

Yes, are signed up with Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National), which provides access to phone and on-site interpreting services in over 150 languages. If you would like an interpreter please let reception know when booking your appointment and they can arrange one for your consult.

We are located at Level 1, 330 Sheridan Street, Cairns North. We are on the corner of Smith and Sheridan Streets with the main entrance on Smith Street. Dunwoody's is directly opposite us on Sheridan Street and 7Eleven is on the other corner of Smith Street.

  Our practice has appointed the practice manager with primary responsibility for examining  issues raised and facilitating improvements in the practice.   At any time, patients can provide feedback or make a complaint. They are advised of the  processes for providing feedback through:  

• A notice displayed in the waiting room and information contained in the practice  information sheet,   

• Provision of a ‘suggestion box’ in a common patient area (i.e., waiting room), and 

 • Adequate training provided to all practice team members to ensure patients of the  practice feel confident that any feedback or complaints made at the practice will be  handled appropriately. 

  How we can have access to the health record?

 patients and others of their rights of access to information we hold about them, and of our commitment to privacy legislation compliance. An information brochure is also available that provides further details if required. Personal health information about a patient will only be released in accordance with the relevant privacy laws and at the discretion of the patient’s usual general practitioner. If you need a copy of your health summary record, please advise the reception/ admin for the record.
